Intermission by marina-rasi Intermission by marina-rasi
*elevator music*
I just wanted to do something with background and pulled out a bit older lineart out of my desk drawer. It is kinda refreshing to do whatever you want without worrying if the worry will fit commissioner ;]
My backgrounds are still ewww, but well, there is slight improvement to be seen [or maybe it is just me...]
I painted this one for almost 5 hours -_-; And still not really satisfying. Especially not the field[I haven't added shadows, too lazy, but I suppose that is what separates good from bad artists].
Comments are more than welcome, but what most important is, enjoy ^^

[Edit] Just to make it clear, I do not draw vore or transformations, nor I take any interest in that. So please do not ask.

Heehee.... butterfly.

I don't see that you're really needing shadows. If you've ever seen tall brown/gold grass (like wheat for instance) on a bright nearly-evening or just-past-morning like that, it seems to almost glow and there is nearly no shadow in it anyways.

I'm a bit curious about the proportions here- most people whose centaurs have 'waists' with that kind of proportion are using a larger-than-human torso, but there's no reference here. Is she maybe a 'shetland' centaur, with a pony-sized equine portion?

I think the shoulder tattoo is cute, and I like how you've got her blade strapped to her equine part rather than her human waist.

I am just detail obsessed person, and I still think it could use some more work, but it was such a long time ago, now I have tools with which I can add as much detail as I wish.

When I was doing this I did not concerned much about proportion nor was I good with it. If I would draw it again today, it would be better proportioned and a tad smaller human base.
I thought of her more as halfbreed and low life mercenary so she basically does not have pure blood pony base.

Nope, it is mounted on her horse part, but it really doesn't show good -,-

I really like what you done here. I like how she standing in the plant-life, with only her human torso, and a little of her horse body stick out from it...:3

Really, this an amazing work to be sure...X3

This one is extra super cute!
I love the colors on this.

It's not just you, there definitely is an improvement in your art; and it's more then slight.
Yes, i too think the fields would benefit from some shading/shadows. Maybe you could go back sometime + add a little, mostly because i think you could probably feel better about this one. It deserves it!!:highfive:woo hoo!!
